Types of Wood Flooring – Solid & Engineered

Solid: Same material throughout the whole plank (not suitable for underfloor heating and is more susceptible to moisture).Knots in wood are more stable, so less likely to come out during manufacture reducing amount of filler used during production.

Engineered: Solid wood wear layer up to 6mm thick on top of Birch/ply backing. Suitable for underfloor heating and is a more stable product.

Pre-Finished Engineered board: No need to have the flooring sanded and then sealed as the boards come factory finished. Multiple colours and finishes available. Pre finished boards will have micro bevels on 2 or 4 sides of the boards
